Why just the halls? Christmas is such a magical season and the one time of the year where we can truly deck out our entire house.
It starts at the front door, if you don’t have the space for some beautiful adorned urns by the front door, a fresh evergreen wreath will say Merry Christmas and welcome to our home.

If you only ever decorate a tree, let me give you some simple quick and cost-effective ways to bring Christmas to every room in your house.  Trust me it will brighten the darkest days and if you happen to have a grinch like person around, believe me when I say their heart will grow two sizes this season.

Let’s start with the stairs if you happen to have a set in your house, I’m sure you’ve seen pictures of the beautiful garland with tons of ribbons and berries, but what if you don’t have all those things available to you.  A cool inexpensive idea is to take pieces of ribbon, attach a Christmas bauble and tie it to the railing, cute, colourful and easily done.

How many of us have empty mason jars hanging around?  Here is a great idea to make a beautiful snowscape or vignette using those jars.  Take those jars and fill about 1/3 full with Epson salts, add fairy lights, a small figuring or ornamental tree bought from the dollar store, finish the opening with a beautiful ribbon.  Inexpensive, impactful and it will give your space that holiday feeling without breaking the bank.

Another great idea is to bring out your glass bowls and fill them with fairy lights and balls, this makes a great centre piece for your dining table.  If you happen to have a taller vase that you would like to fill with balls, think about putting an empty paper towel holder in the middle and placing the balls around it, a true space saver, and this way gives you the opportunity to fill more vases.

Don’t forget the candles, they always finish off winter scapes  and make everything beautiful.

So, the moral of this is that you don’t have to break the bank to make your home outstanding for the Christmas season, a little bit of elbow grease and a trip to the dollar store is all that you need to make this season merry and bright.

From our family to yours, Merry Christmas.
